Why does my new HDTV not receive all regular cable channels?
Ahbi C asked:
I know its a simple question but my knowledge of the technology is limited. And my old HDTVs worked fine when I just plugged in the cable cord into them. But on my new 32LG30 I only get like 6 channels using the same method. And I already have an HD cable box but its for my tv upstairs. I just wanna watch regular tv on my new HDTV. It has all the tuners, NTSC, ATSC, QAM. A little help here?
nvm i fixed it. Just had to do an auto tuning which took a while but now i get even more channels haha. Gotta love HDTV’s woohooo

I have an HD set w/NTSC, ATSC, and QAM connected directly to cable without a box, and it gets lots of channels. So it sounds like maybe the fix for this TV is to go into its setup menu, and make sure it is configured for “cable” instead of “antenna”?
