I have been trying to figure out if I can get my ATSC /QAM TV Tuner attached to my PC to pick up the signal off my Dish Network sat box. From what I understand it will not work directly as the signal is encrypted, but once it has been decrypted by the satellite box then fed back out would it work if plugged into my ATSC/QAM TV Tuner?
Is there anything I could do different in the settings of the Tuner?
It says it will work with unencrypted Cable signal, does this hold true for Satellite signal as well?

I have a Sarbrent Digital HDTV Tuner ATSC/QAM

Needless to say it is not working at the moment, all I can get is the ATSC channels over the air, I dont even care about HD content I just want to be able to watch all the channels on my tv since I only have a big monitor and an old small tv.
